Lou wrote: This sheetlet showed up on Delcampe
recently, and it is nice looking, but I couldn't figure a tie-in of
Princess Beatrix to the 1959-1960 costume issues. I thought it
might not be legitimate as odd SoS issues from the Dutch Caribbean pop up from time
to time. It seems their philatelic agency, like IGPC, prints stamps
that are not approved for issue or cancelled, and then
later, dumps them on the market. I contacted the seller, and I was right.
As for the question: Is
this a legitimate issue of Sint Maarten?
This sheet comes from a
special thematic collection. I don't know the exact
origin of the issue but I suspect these issues are like personal stamps that
you see being issued all around the world and which you unfortunately don't see
in the standard catalogues. In view of this I
unfortunately cannot give you the specific data you desire.
