Lou wrote: This is a set that needs a lot of descriptions along with the scans of the reproduced stamps.  All of the SOS are really artist’s representations and not accurately copied.  In my database I identify each as follows:

Senegal 707:  Senegal # 37-- modified:  artist's representation with changed perfs; designer errors:  country inscription in wrong color, & symbol instead of Et.

Senegal 708:  Senegal # 201-- modified: artist's representation with changed perfs; stamp elongated, value and country inscription omitted.

Senegal 709:  Senegal # 158, 151-- modified:  artist's representations with changed perfs; on # 158, the figures at right are reversed and moved to left, mosque moved toward center;  both stamps elongated and bi-color instead of monotone.

Senegal 710:  Senegal # 27-- modified:  artist's representation with changed perfs.

Note correction of # 158 for # 154—color of SOS is brown, not red.
